Ernst G. Siebeneicher-Hellwig
Ernst G. Siebeneicher-Hellwig, a trained toolmaker, has been involved in the design and manufacture of collector's knives for more than two decades. He also worked as a lecturer at the Bavarian State Hunting School and led knife-making courses at Dictum. In addition to his training as a metal craftsman, he expanded his knowledge of Asian cutlery during a longer stay in Japan and trips to China and Taiwan. He learned sharpening on waterstones from a Japanese master.
Founder of the Olching Knife Study Group and organizer of the Olching Knife Days.
Literary Activities: Mr. Siebeneicher-Hellwig is the author of several specialist books published by Venatus Verlag, Wieland Verlag, Motorbuch Verlag and Kosmos Verlag. His first successful book, Messermachen (Knife Making), was published in 2000 by Venatus Verlag and was the first book in German to delve deeply into the production of knives. This book and subsequent publications laid the foundation for the enduring enthusiasm for knife making among a growing number of hobby knife makers.
Queenie Lee
She is the one who quietly and with great dedication develops new knives, translates the ideas of other knife developers into technically sophisticated drawings, and closely accompanies the entire production process, ensuring that the new models live up to the visions in our minds.
Arthur Brehm
Arthur Brehm, like no other member of our small team, understands how to put his finger on the raw nerve, make suggestions for quality improvement, and develop his own models that are unavailable from any other knife manufacturer. His Legal 42a Folder is a prime example of a design that has been very positively received by many people within the blade community.
Thorsten Hartmann
My fascination with knives was sparked during a stay in Bangkok when I accompanied my father-in-law on his visits to local smiths and knife manufacturers. A year later, I began importing knives.
Roland Bochynek
It was not until late in life that the trained telecommunications technician discovered his passion for optimally sharpening knives. Prompted by some disappointing experiences with dubious sharpening services and the desire to do it better, he began with self-experiments and the study of almost all available sources of information. In the meantime, he mainly bases his work on the publications of Dr. Vadim Kraichuk (knifegrinders.com.au). With the experience of well over 10,000 processed knives and self-optimized equipment, he guarantees a material-friendly and durable grind for optimal sharpness on almost all types of knives.
