Concept
The Stingray Folder knife, weighing 168 grams and with a blade thickness of 3.4 mm, is a full-grown pocket knife with a liner-lock mechanism.
The blade is made of 440C, a high-quality steel also known as surgical steel. Due to its high acid and rust resistance combined with excellent edge retention, it is used for surgical instruments such as scalpels. The blade is mounted on Teflon washers, ensuring a smooth, silky action.
Clean lines and white G-10 handle scales give this knife a timeless and elegant appearance. The handle scales and bolsters are screwed, not riveted. The screws allow the blade play to be readjusted if necessary.
The knife can also be completely disassembled if you want to clean it thoroughly. The build quality is, as is typical for Ed Mahony, of a high standard.
Coveted by collectors, it has also proven itself in tough use during hunting.
The knife comes in an attractive metal tin with an EVA inlay.

Care
- Cleaning: After use, you should clean the knife under running water with a mild soap. Avoid washing the knife in the dishwasher, as this can lead to damage.
- Drying: Dry the knife thoroughly immediately after washing to prevent rust formation. It is best to use a soft cloth for this.
- Storage: Store the knife in a dry place where it cannot come into contact with other metal objects. A knife roll or a knife block are ideal storage options.
- Sharpening: Sharpen the knife regularly with a suitable whetstone or sharpener. A sharp knife cuts better and is safer to use.
- Cutting Surface: Use a suitable cutting surface made of wood or plastic for cutting. Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone or metal, as this can damage the blade.
