Concept
IZUMI ICHIAGO Chef's Knife Set, consisting of 5 kitchen knives made from Japanese high-carbon stainless steel in a gift box: chef's knife, bread knife, boning knife, utility knife, and paring knife.
The handles are made of water-resistant and heat-resistant Tecaran®. The oval shape of the handles allows for smooth work – each knife fits perfectly in the hand. All knives from the Master Series have the name "Izumi Ichiago" printed in Japanese characters on the end cap.
The chef's knife set includes a stylish magnetic bamboo stand that securely holds all 5 knives with its three integrated magnets.
The knives can generally be cleaned in the dishwasher – however, we recommend cleaning the knives by hand – this keeps the knives sharper longer and therefore they need to be sharpened less frequently.
To keep your knives consistently sharp, an original IZUMI ICHIAGO sharpening stone with a grit of 1000/3000 is included – with the 1000 grit, you sharpen the knives, and with the 3000 grit, you remove the burr and give the blade the final polish.

Care
- Cleaning: After use, you should clean the knife under running water with a mild soap. Avoid washing the knife in the dishwasher, as this can lead to damage.
- Drying: Dry the knife thoroughly immediately after washing to prevent rust. It's best to use a soft cloth for this.
- Storage: Store the knife in a dry place where it cannot come into contact with other metal objects. A knife sheath or a knife block are ideal storage options.
- Sharpening: Sharpen the knife regularly with a suitable sharpening stone or sharpener. A sharp knife cuts better and is safer to use.
- Cutting surface: Use a suitable cutting surface made of wood or plastic for cutting. Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone or metal, as this can damage the blade.
