Grandma's favorite knife in a new guise.
The renowned knife designer, knifemaker, and author of technical books, Ernst Siebeneicher-Hellwig, has helped the proven Buckelmesser make a brilliant comeback.
The traditional blade shape was crafted from Japanese Damascus steel with a cutting core made of the well-known edge-retaining VG10 knife steel. The sides of the blade consist of 33-layer stainless Suminagashi Damascus each, which gives the blade high flexibility.
This extremely practical knife is suitable as a breakfast and snack knife, but also finds a variety of uses in the kitchen for preparing food.
The optional handle scales made of juniper (from November 2019), carbon fiber, ebony, olive wood, Koblenz barrel oak, white burled wood, and North Swedish curly birch, paired with the attractive ladder Damascus, make the knife a showpiece on any breakfast table.

Care
- Cleaning: After use, you should clean the knife under running water with a mild soap. Avoid washing the knife in the dishwasher, as this can cause damage.

- Storage: Store the knife in a dry place where it cannot come into contact with other metal objects. A knife sheath or a knife block are ideal storage options.
- Sharpening: Sharpen the knife regularly with a suitable sharpening stone or sharpener. A sharp knife cuts better and is safer to use.
- Cutting surface: Use a suitable cutting surface made of wood or plastic for cutting. Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone or metal, as this can damage the blade.
